Where are the pirates when you need them?

Apparently the government does not play much of a role in my daily life. We're on, what, day 3 of the shut down and other than listening to NPR on my way to work I would have no clue that there was a shut down. What does that say? I do think the whole thing is ridiculousness, but if they have zero impact on my daily life I would venture a guess that I am not that important to them. I guess I do have to start paying taxes again and I sure have contributed my fair share to sales tax since I've been home. My life is mostly filled with private companies, I guess. Our Museum here is giving free admission to furloughed employees. Wouldn't this be a good time for mutiny?
