Fresa has a babysitter

Dog walker is hired. HUGE relief, although today while I was walking Fresa I ran into a lady with an older lab and we got to talking and she took him to doggie day care when he was a pup, but only twice a week because it was really tiring. So now I'm contemplating whether I should do a combination. My dog walker, Linda, has a pet taxi service so she could drop Fresa off, but that is another fee and that fee with the walking fee with the day care fee, well I mind as well not work.

This situation makes me so grateful that I didn't have human babies. I'm a wreck and it's a puppy.

Linda starts tomorrow. Her 30 minute visit is $17. I only need her twice this week so I don't get the discount of $2 per visit, but soon I'll need her every day.

Apparently she leaves notes after her visit, so we'll see how it goes and I'll let you know...

I saw your posts about this and wanted to reassure you it's nothing anormal.

We have sent Freya to doggy day care since she was a puppy both for socialization and simply because we were both working. To put it simply, she loved it! Even today, when she has a day of play with her 'pack', she's exhausted and over the moon.

To give you some more piece of mind, when she was a puppy, we did 2x a week because she would come home and crash for 24 hours after an all day session. 2x a week was largely sufficient for us.

And finally, what you are finding as prices are c.h.e.a.p. We spend 35-40 EUROS per day for Freya. Big city living I guess, but the rates you are finding seem reasonable compared to what we see here in France.

So, in sum, don't stress that you are failing in your pupmom duties - Fresa will probably end up loving her 'play days' with the other dogs.
